Sampling Dates

...We have made the move to following the EPA's sampling calendar. Stream team will only be sampling the moths of March - November each year. Our sampling date is the 2nd Saturday of each month, so our next date is:

Upcoming Events

Donna, Lynn and Teresa are getting together to discuss dates for the ideas that you gave us for future volunteer get-togethers, classes, and more.

Stream biology- Macroinvertebrate Class.

May 3 in West Chester. Volunteers who wish to start our new biological water quality testing should attend this all day training. We will start wih the basics indoors, then head out to the creek. More info will be posted soon.

Tree Sale

Order Deadline is March 26 with pickup on April 10-11 in Hamilton. Stream Team partner, Butler Soil and Water Conservation District is holding their annual tree sale. Visit their web for more details.

Free Well Water Testing Event

Stream Team is partnering with Butler Soil and Water Cosnervation District and Miami Conservancy Dsitrict to ffer local residents free well water testing for nitrates, arsenic, and bacteria. Residents can brig their sample to Earth Day in Hamilton on Aroil 22 from 11 am - 1 pm, or to Oxford Earth Fest from 11 am - 3 pm. Info Flier (pdf)

Discounted Soil Testing

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has provided funding to provide reduced price soil testing for the first 100 Butler County residents that apply. By testing our soil, we can tell how much, if any fertilizer and other ammendments need to be added to our soil. Info flier (pdf)
